Course terms

What you get, how long you keep it, and what happens if you change your mind. These terms cover the courses specifically and sit alongside Dash Academy's Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy, which govern everything else.

01

What you are buying

A license to watch the course inside this platform for a fixed period. You are not buying the videos themselves, and no downloadable copy exists at any address.
Basic
$999
180 days
Complete
$2,499
180 days
Ultra
$3,799
180 days
02

How long access lasts

180 days from purchase. The end date is shown on your account page and counts down from the day you buy, not from the day you start. If your test date moves, write to us — we would rather extend it than lose you.
03

When access ends

Your progress, notes and flashcard scheduling are kept. Videos stop playing. You can re-open for $299 rather than buying the course again, and everything picks up where you left it.
04

Cancellation and refunds

A Dash course is a package: bought once, for a fixed window, with everything in it available immediately. That is a different thing from booking a single live session, so it is refunded on different rules. Both are below.

The package

Seven days, up to ten videos watched. If the course is not what we described, email us inside that window and we refund it in full, no argument. After ten videos we consider it used — that is enough of the course to know.

One exception, on Complete and Ultra only, and it isn't ours to waive. UWorld and the AAMC bundle aren't ours. We buy them in your name from those companies, and the moment we send you the codes they cannot be returned, canceled or resold — by us or by you. So if you have already been given them, their cost comes off the refund. Nothing else does, and the rest of what you paid comes back as normal.

If you haven't been sent them yet, that doesn't apply and you get everything back. If you want a refund and would rather we simply didn't issue them, say so and we won't. And if your situation is genuinely rough, write to us anyway — we read these ourselves and we would rather hear it than not.

After the seven days. The course is a one-time purchase for 180 days, not a subscription — there is nothing recurring to cancel, and nothing renews without you. We don't refund part of an access window that has been used, but if we materially reduce what your course includes you can ask for a pro-rated refund of the remainder.

Live sessions booked from a package

Ultra includes 1-on-1 hours, and extra hours can be bought at checkout. Those are live private sessions, so they follow the same cancellation policy as any Dash session — the package rules above do not apply to them. Hours never expire inside your access window, and canceling a session returns the hour to your balance on the same scale Dash Academy uses everywhere else, measured from the scheduled start time:

72 hours' notice or moreHour returned in full
Between 24 and 72 hoursHalf the hour returned
Less than 24 hours, or no-showCounted as used

The time was held for you and could not be given to anybody else, which is the whole reason for the scale. Arriving late doesn't extend the session — it still ends when it was booked to end. Unused hours are not refundable for cash, but they can be moved to another student on request.

Both

Talk to us before your bank. If something has gone wrong, email us first — we can usually fix it the same day, and a chargeback opened without asking takes the money and the conversation away at the same time. Access is suspended while a dispute is open, and comes back if it's resolved in your favor.

How to ask. Email contact@mydashacademy.com from the address on the account and say what happened. A person reads it, typically within 48 hours. Approved refunds go back to the card you paid with; your bank decides how quickly it lands, usually five to ten days.

Sharing an account ends it. One person, one login. Sharing credentials, or passing on course videos or question banks to somebody who has not bought the course, ends access without a refund. This is in the Dash Academy terms and it is enforced here.

This is the policy for the self-paced course sold at courses.mydashacademy.com, and it is the “separate policy stated for a particular product” the Dash Academy terms refer to. Tutoring booked as individual sessions through the main site follows the session cancellation policy instead. The policy in effect when you bought governs your purchase.

05

One person, one login

Your account is yours alone. Signing in on a second device signs the first one out, and playback stops there immediately. This is enforced, not just asked for.

Every video carries your email and student ID across the frame while it plays. If a recording of this course appears anywhere, it identifies who it came from. Sharing an account, recording, re-uploading or reselling any part of the course ends your access without a refund.

If you want a friend on the course, buy a second seat — it costs less than a second course, and you both keep your own progress.
06

What we track, and why

Which videos you watch and how far through, the notes you write, your flashcard scheduling, and — only if you choose to enter them — your practice scores. We record when a video is played, from what device, to spot shared accounts. We do not sell any of it. The full detail is in the Privacy Policy.
07

Third-party material

UWorld and AAMC materials referenced in this course are theirs, not ours, and are subject to their own terms and their own subscription clocks. Where a tier includes them, we say so on the pricing page. Their access period is separate from your Dash access period.
08

Coaching hours

Hours never expire inside your access window. Sessions canceled with less than 24 hours' notice are counted as used. Unused hours are not refundable for cash but can be moved to another student on request.
09

If we change something

Prices change for new purchases only — you keep what you paid. If we materially reduce what an existing course includes, you can ask for a pro-rated refund of the remainder.
