Questions

The ones we get asked most. If yours isn’t here, email us — a person reads it.

Using it

Can I use this on my phone?

Yes. It runs in the browser on a phone, a tablet or a computer, and your place is kept in sync — you can watch on a laptop and do your cards on a phone on the bus.

Can I download the videos to watch offline?

No. Videos stream only. This is partly a licensing matter and partly a piracy one, and it applies to everybody equally.

I have a question that is not answered here.

Email us at contact@mydashacademy.com. A person reads it.

What you get

What is the difference between the tiers?

The pricing page lays it out side by side. The short version: every tier has the full video course, and the higher tiers add third-party question banks and official practice material, then live one-on-one coaching hours on top of that.

Do I need to buy UWorld or the AAMC material separately?

Not on the tiers that include them — we buy them in your name and send you the codes. On the tiers that do not, you are free to buy them yourself, and the course does not assume you have.

How does the one-on-one coaching work?

The tiers that include it come with a set number of live hours, which you book with us directly from inside your account. If you run out and want more, you can buy additional hours as an add-on.

Are the flashcards included, or is that extra?

Included, on every tier, at no extra cost. They are scheduled for you — the app decides what you see and when, based on how well you knew it last time.

Buying it

Is this a subscription?

No. It is a one-time purchase for a fixed window, and nothing renews on its own. There is no recurring charge to cancel, and we will not quietly bill you again when the window ends.

How long do I have access?

Every tier runs for the same fixed window, counted from the day you buy. You can see the exact number of days on the pricing page. Everything in your tier is available immediately — nothing drips out week by week. The full terms are in the course terms.

What happens when my access runs out?

You keep your progress, your notes and your flashcard history, and you can come back at a reduced re-entry price rather than paying full price again. The reduced price shows automatically at checkout when your window is close to ending or has ended — you do not need a code. The course terms spell this out.

Can I upgrade after I have already bought?

Yes, and you only pay the difference. Buy the higher tier from the pricing page while signed in and the amount you already paid comes off automatically. Your progress carries across.

Can I buy this for someone else, or share my account?

Accounts are one person — you can only be signed in on one device at a time, so sharing means logging each other out all day. If you are studying with someone, the Study Partner Seat is the way to do it properly: it gives them their own account and their own progress. If you want to buy the course as a gift, email us and we will set it up by hand.

Refunds

What is your refund policy?

Seven days, up to ten videos watched. If the course is not what we described, email us inside that window and we refund it in full, no argument. After ten videos we consider it used — that is enough of the course to know. Live coaching sessions are refunded on separate rules, which are set out in full on the cancellation and refund page.

If I refund, what happens to the UWorld and AAMC material?

On the tiers that include them, those are not ours. We buy them in your name from those companies, and once we send you the codes they cannot be returned, canceled or resold by anyone. So if you have already been given them, their cost comes off the refund and nothing else does. If we have not sent them yet, it does not apply and you get everything back — and if you would rather we simply did not issue them, say so and we will not.

The full wording is on the cancellation and refund page.

Something has gone wrong and my situation is genuinely difficult. What now?

Write to us anyway. We read these ourselves and we would rather hear it than not. The formal policy is on the cancellation and refund page, but it is not the last word when something has genuinely gone wrong.
